Once More

I guess I need sleep; I don't know what else to say. Anyway, let's try that link again:

Wait, Wait, Wait!
10:03 p.m. / 22:03
It's occurred to sleepy me that paragraph two of the previous post might have been misleading. The fact that I do not actually live in the house I own at this point and time is unrelated to the Limb and the Power Outage. There is no need to worry.

Water Bottles
10:02 p.m. / 22:02
So I first heard about these bottles on... hmm... probably Treehugger, but now that I think about I don't think I can be certain. I saw an ad for them on the back of a magazine at work today and decided to visit their website. I have not purchased one and I don't know if I will, in part due to price, but they are supposed to be an alternative to the usual water bottles like myself and most of my friends use if you're concerned about the leaching issue that is frequently written about 'round the web. Ah, yes... you need a link: http://wwwmysigg.com Because, I mean, that was the whole point; I wanted to point these out to you in case you were concerned about chemicals leaching out of your plastic water bottles.
I'm strangely tired tonight, so I hope the above made some sense. There are many things I ought to blog about like why I'm not actually living in my house yet, when I will be living in my house and My First Tree Limb or My First Power Outage.
For those trying to figure out the earth worm issue from the previous post, I feel the need to say that since I didn't fish the thing out for a close examination, I can really only be mostly sure, but it really looked like an earth worm more than it looked like anything else.

I Don't Even Know What To Say
10:25 p.m. / 22:25
I went to my house (the little one I own but don't quite live in) for just a bit after work. There was an earth worm in the toilet. What the hell?

Maybe It's The Weather?
9:15 p.m. / 21:15
I'm a bit melancholy... or something like that... today... tonight. I'm not really sure why. I'm hoping a good night's sleep will cure it.

Snow
8:55 p.m. / 20:55
It's snowing here, so I drove straight home from work tonight instead of going to my new little house. I should pack more stuff since I'm here, not there. I'm tired, though, and I really just want to curl up with a book and then fall asleep. I was tired last night too, but I was at my house and right now, there are way fewer distractions and certainly no comfy bed there. So, I was able to push myself a little and I got the whole bathroom cleaned and I washed all the bins and drawers that go in my big fancy fridge. I even started on the kitchen cabinets, but I got too tired and came home to sleep. Anyway, the snow is pretty, but it wrecked my plans so I nearly failed to appreciate it until my co-workers, one in particular, starting acting like children in the parking lot. It took that to remind me of the magical side of snow.

Hello?
10:23 a.m. / 10:23
So, it's going around ye olde web that today is Delurking Day. This seems to happen every so often, but I've never said anything before. Anyway, if you've been reading but not commenting, today, I suppose, is an excellent day to let me know you're out there.

Warning
2:45 p.m. / 14:45
After twelve days... more or less... of daily posting, which came not that long after thirty days of consecutive posting, I must announce that in the near future, this blog will probably appear abandoned. In another week, I'll have the keys to my new house. I'm going to be spending lots of time packing, cleaning, painting moving and whatever else. Once I've moved, I might not have the internet hooked up right away; we'll see. Anyway, I strongly suspect I will neglect things here for awhile I thought I should explain up-front.

Random Notes
3:23 p.m. / 15:23
So, yesterday was Closing Day for the little house. It's a done deal now, but it wasn't actually all that exciting because I still don't get the keys for another couple of weeks. But yay, anyway!
I've been thinking about Haven Kimmel and her novels since I posted earlier. If I had to pick just one thing about them that I love most, it is this: surprise. She always surprises me. Not like O. Henry... it isn't that calculated, but none the less, I am always surprised.
Just one last little thing: HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wonderful End To Wonderful Trilogy
12:29 p.m. / 12:29
This morning I woke up and finished reading The Used World by Haven Kimmel. It's the final book in a loosely-tied trilogy, all of which take place in fictional Hopwood County, Indiana. As of yesterday morning, I was enjoying the book, but not really anymore than any other book. By early afternoon, I was completely in it's grip. I think the first book, The Solace of Leaving Early remains my favorite of the three, but this last one has taken the position of second-favorite. This is not to say that the middle book, Something Rising (Light and Swift) isn't good. That would be quite false. I very much recommend reading The Used World, all about Hazel, Claudia and Rebekah-- three oddball Hoosiers who run Hazel Hunicutt's Used World Emporium. What I recommend so much more than that, though, is (if you have not already) to go back and read The Solace of Leaving Early and then Something Rising (Light and Swift). Each book is perfectly capable of standing alone, but I think reading the trilogy in order adds bonus goodness.
