Gaiman, Hornby, Suess, Cabot & Maguire

A literary law firm? No, just the authors I've been reading in, oh, probably the last six weeks. I've gotten behind with my posts, so I've reluctantly agreed with myself to put all five of these together in one post.
Anansi Boys is the first book that I have read by Neil Gaiman, although I've been aware of him for awhile. I can say with a great deal of confidence that it will not be the last book by Neil Gaiman that I will read, because it was a very fun book. It is an unusual book... and that's an understatement. This is also the first science fiction or fantasy book I've read in quite some time.
High Fidelity is the third Nick Hornby novel that I have read, and it is my favorite of his novels for right now. I wouldn't call it a page-turner, but I think it is one that will stay with me. I'm also a fan of the movie.
I recently bought (for $5.00 each) and re-read the following classic Dr. Suess beginner books: The Cat In the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Oh, the Thinks You Can Think! and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.
I finished Size 12 Is Not Fat by Meg Cabot at least two weeks ago, and I still haven't decided if it was a waste of time, and whether or not I will read any further Heather Wells mysteries Meg Cabot may write.
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister is definitely worth the time. Gregory Maguire, the book's author, is best known for a book called Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, but I want to read the original Oz series before I start in on an alternate version.
